The Arcadian Prepares for the 2009-2010 School Year

by Louis Coppersmith last modified May 27, 2009 12:24 PM

Don’t fear--we’ll be back, bigger and better than ever for next year.

While most students are out for the summer, enjoying swimming pools, basking in air conditioning and wondering what to do with that Spanish textbook that never was returned to the student bookstore, we here at The Arcadian are preparing for a fun, productive year.

The Arcadian will have three major publishing outlets for the 2009-2010 school year: a monthly hardcopy paper, a twice-yearly magazine, and this website, updated around the clock. To run these publications, three new editors have been chosen. Louis Coppersmith is the newspaper editor-in-chief, Erica Lieberman is the magazine executive, and Ranier Barrett is the new Webmaster. In addition, Ethan Bendau is the new copy editor, and Vivian Padilla and Ashley Jackson are the new business and advertising managers.

The new editors will be great leaders of The Arcadian. Louis can answer any question regarding comma usage, style, and Battlestar Galactica. Ranier is an online expert and a wizard of breaking awkward silences. Erica loves designing the magazine and baking the most delicious fudge in all of Arcadia. Ethan is already reading up on grammar books, and Vivian and Ashley can’t wait to start contacting local businesses for advertisements.

So, Arcadia, we here at AHSnews.com have bunkered down for the summer. Don’t fear, though—we’ll be back, bigger and better than ever. And be sure to have a look around the website, in the meantime.
