AHSnews.com is the online edition of The Arcadian, the official school newspaper of Arcadia High School. Arcadia High School is located in Phoenix, Arizona, in the Scottsdale Unified School District.

Arcadia has around 1700 students and counting. It’s been around since 1959. The principal is Anne Marie Woolsey, and the Newspaper advisor is Bryce McKinney-Wain. The librarian is Sharon Ewers. The 2009 - 2010 staff include:

Nick Alexandre

Nick is not creative enough to come up with his own bio.  He is a biology lover and hates the Black Eyed Peas.

Ranier Barrett

When she isn't being an officer and a gentleman, Ranier Barrett can be found in her super special no-boys-allowed tree house reading The Babysitters Club novels and dreaming of being a ballerina surgeon.

Ethan Bendau

This is Ethan's first year on the newspaper staff. Ethan has a girlfriend, but Erica is his girl on the side. (Update: Ethan no longer has a girlfriend) He loves Reggae-ton and performance art. He's the art.

Rebecca Chiffelle

Rebecca Chiffelle is a sophomore at Arcadia High School. She enjoys acting, writing and playing guitar and is very excited to be part of newspaper this year.

Louis Coppersmith

Louis Coppersmith, un muy caliente hombre, a fair knight incognito. Journalism is his passion. A ladies'man at school, the girls want him, the males want to BE HIM. He was born on October 17, some time in the 90's. He runs a lion-taming camp in Tuesdays and Thursdays...ladies...?

Jessica Dollin

Jessica is currently a junior and this is her second year in Newspaper.  Her hobbies vary from golf to dance to reading.  Her favorite shows are Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Everything Italian and Everest Beyond the Limit.  She really likes Lauren Messman's oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.  Newspaper is one of her most enjoyable classes!

Sarabeth Knobel is a junior and this is her first year in Newspaper. She enjoys Starbucks, reading, and long walks on the beach. She is the president of ACUAA and secretary of GSA.

Erica Lieberman

Erica "Leiberman" Lieberman is in love with the world... but not like in a creepy way.

Donovan Lockwood

Van is a Junior, and is a Newspaper novice. His hobbies include SCUBA diving, reading, backpacking and hanging out with friends. He has an amazing sense of humor, and is the co-president of the Arcadia GSA. He is cool.

Alison Mettler

Alison says, "I can't, I have crew."

Kelia Noonan

Kelia Noonan is a Junior, and wishes she could be Lady Gaga. For Sure.

Vivian Padilla

Vivian is in her first year on the newspaper staff and aspires to be in the next . You should watch her show!

Hannah Simpson

Hannah is a Senior. She loves Harry Potter and being a part of the Newspaper Staff! Legit.

Valerie Slade

Valerie plays soccer. She has a quick wit and a clever mind. She enjoys walks along the beach at sunset, is in an open relationship. Her interests include singing, photography and writing. if she could be a sock on any foot it would be on Sadie's foot because Sadie has been in every club in Barcelona. She wears autobiographical jewelry. Overall, Valerie is a perfect 10!

Lauren Trobaugh

Lauren is a senior at Arcadia and this is her first year being a reporter for the Arcadian. She does spiritline at Arcadia and has a love for Blink-182.
